Crystal Lakes Community Fund Association
The Crystal Lakes Community Fund Association (CLCFA) was founded in 1998 to identify and fund programs that improve, enhance the beauty of, and preserve the common good of Crystal Lakes. CLCFA is made up of volunteers who use YOUR suggestions to develop these programs and projects that will ensure the continued viability of the development and to preserve the area for our children, grandchildren, and future property owners.
The CLCFA has been granted 501 (c)(3) income tax status. Simply put, this means that your donations and dues are tax deductible! Unlike most tax-supported organizations, 100% of your money goes directly back into the good of your mountain community that we have all grown to love. There is almost no overhead, and labor associated with the projects is almost 100% volunteer. Your donations are used for materials to develop and maintain the projects.
We gratefully accept memberships and donations! Memorial donations are also appreciated. Donations can be specified for a particular project that you would like to see happen. With many small and/or several large donations (many of our members contribute $100 or more annually); we can make many good things happen.
Crystal Lakes Community Fund Celebrate 15 Years
By Jeanette Williams
The Crystal Lakes Community Fund Annual Meeting will be on Saturday July 27, 2013 1pm with our July Board meeting to follow in the Wapiti Room. Don St John will not be running for a Board position this year. Please consider joining the Community Fund Board. Our meetings are open to everyone. We appreciate suggestions for projects very much.
Mark your calendar for Saturday August 24 for a day of tours, historical tidbits, and a CLCFA 15 Year Anniversary picnic. This will be a time to celebrate all Community fund board members, our membership and the Crystal Lakes community.
The Community Fund appreciates our hard working past Presidents: Don St John, Helen Koller, and Kathy Hill. Past officers have also included Curt Livingston, Bob Kivan, Hildie Kallweit, John Sprakling, and Sharon Cooper. Current Board members are Winnie Hansen, Helen Koller, Helen Norton, Don St John, Jeanette and Ray Williams and Grace Zach.
From the July 27, 2002 Annual Meeting Notice: “The Crystal Lakes Community Fund Association has been founded to preserve and enhance the beauty of the Crystal Lakes area. CLCFA is a non-political organization made up of volunteers dedicated to making Crystal Lakes a unique and viable area. Those of us who live, work or own property in this area now have an opportunity to make a contribution to ensure the continued viability of Crystal Lakes and to preserve the area for our children, grandchildren and future property owners.”
The CLCFA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable association. Please consider a new membership or a renewal membership. The Community Fund will conduct membership drives at the CLW&SA and the CLR&RA Annual Meetings. Membership forms are available online on the Community Fund tab at crystal-lakes.org and at the Association office.
