Crystal Lakes Road Improvement Master Plan (RIMP)
Securing Safer, Stronger Roads for Our Future
Decades of deferred maintenance have left many of Crystal Lakes’ roads in need of significant repair. Recognizing the scale and complexity of this issue, the Crystal Lakes Road and Recreation Association (CLRRA) Board and Finance Committee have developed a long-term Road Improvement Master Plan (RIMP). This plan is essential to guide us toward a future where road safety, accessibility, and durability are ensured for all residents, guests, and emergency services.
About the Road Improvement Master Plan
The Road Improvement Master Plan (RIMP) is a strategic, phased approach to rehabilitate and maintain the Crystal Lakes road system. It is based on best practices for rural infrastructure planning and tailored to the unique terrain, usage patterns, and resource limitations of our community.
The goals of RIMP are to:
- Identify and prioritize key road repair and maintenance projects.
- Establish a phased schedule to implement improvements in a manageable and fiscally responsible manner.
- Estimate the cost of each phase to assist in budget planning and funding efforts.
To ensure that the plan reflects the needs and insights of those who live, work, and volunteer in Crystal Lakes, the Finance Committee convened a cross-functional stakeholder group. This group includes representatives from the Road Committee, Road Crew, Fire Department, GMC/CWPP, Water and Sewer Association, Fishing Committee, and the Larimer County Road and Bridge Department.
Their combined knowledge is helping to shape a realistic, actionable roadmap to restore and maintain our community's essential roadways.
