Our Fishing Board is dedicated to maintaining a healthy and enjoyable fishing experience for our community. We oversee the stocking of our lakes and ponds, ensuring they remain well-populated for our property owners and their guests. To protect and sustain our fishing resources, only property owners and their guests are permitted to fish in Crystal Lakes—guest passes (both daily and annual) can be purchased at the Basecamp office.
In addition to managing our waters, the Fishing Board proudly organizes the ever popular Fourth of July Fishing Derby, and the Platte River‘s Veterans Fly Fishing event, which typically takes place the first two weeks of June..

New! Online Daily Guest Fishing Passes
The Crystal Lakes Fishing Board is excited to offer an online option for purchasing Daily Guest Fishing Passes! Here’s what you need to know:
How It Works
- Owner Permission Required – Guests must have written permission from a Crystal Lakes property owner in good standing (all dues paid). This permission must include the owner’s contact info and be carried at all times—either printed or saved on the guest’s phone.
- Purchase Online – Only daily passes are available online. Each pass is valid for one named person on one specific day—just like the traditional yellow sticky passes. Passes must be purchased before fishing begins, even on the same day. No changes or refunds, so we strongly discourage advance purchases.
- Download the Ticket – Guests must download their pass onto their phone or print it. Cell service is unreliable up here, so be prepared!
What to Show Security
When asked, guests must present:
✅ The
permission letter from the property owner
✅ The
downloaded or printed ticket
✅
Photo ID for anyone 16 and older
⚠️ Important: If the owner is not in good standing or the guest cannot provide all required documents, the pass is invalid. This means:
🚫 The guest must stop fishing immediately
🎣 Any fish caught will be confiscated
📜 A citation will be issued
Avoid the hassle—download everything before fishing!
Pricing & Availability
Online passes have a small additional fee to cover credit card and processing costs. However, they offer convenience, especially for last-minute purchases or when the office is closed.
