Before purchasing, make sure your guest has written permission and contact information from a CL property owner in good standing (2022–23 dues must be paid). This permission must be carried at all times, either printed or saved on their phone.

Once purchased, the digital pass must be downloaded—cell service can be unreliable in the area, so don’t rely on accessing it from email or the internet in the moment! Printing it is perfectly fine too.

When approached by security, guests must be ready to show:

1. The written permission from the property owner
2. The downloaded (or printed) fishing pass
3. A photo ID for anyone 16 or older

If any of these are missing—or if the property owner isn’t in good standing—the pass is invalid, and the guest may be cited, required to stop fishing, and have their fish confiscated. Let’s keep everyone’s day on the water fun and hassle-free—download those documents before fishing begins!

There’s a small extra fee for online passes due to credit card processing, but we think the added flexibility is well worth it. And don’t worry—you can still buy passes at the office during regular business hours, just like before.
