The Crystal Lakes Road & Recreation Association (CLRRA) Slash Depot is a dedicated site for collecting slash and logs, helping property owners manage wildfire risk while keeping our community clean. The depot is located on County Road 73-C, Red Feather Lakes, CO, and is subsidized by CLRRA for use by Crystal Lakes property owners in good standing. It is also open to the public.
Collected slash and logs are gathered into a mass pile and burned on-site during winter, under the supervision of Larimer County, the Crystal Lakes Volunteer Fire Department, and the Red Feather Lakes Volunteer Fire Department when conditions permit.
✔️ Clean slash and logs up to 6 inches in diameter (any length)

❌ Building materials, rocks, metal, or household trash
Property owners who wish to have a contractor haul slash must contact the CLRRA Office at (970) 881-2250 and provide:
The contractor must be pre-approved for the specific date. Either the contractor or the property owner (if present) must pay the dumping fee before unloading.
Unauthorized dumping is strictly prohibited and subject to fines as outlined in CLRRA policies. CLRRA reserves the right to revoke dumping privileges for violations.
💲 Crystal Lakes Property Owners: $5.00 per cubic yard
💲 General Public: $12.00 per cubic yard
🔹 Fees are based on cubic yardage, as measured by an on-site CLRRA employee.
🔹 Payment methods: Debit card, credit card (3% processing fee), or check. No cash accepted.
🔹 Payment must be made in full before unloading.
🕙 Fridays: 10 AM – 2 PM
🕙 Saturdays & Sundays: 10 AM – 4 PM
🚛 It’s the Law! All loads must be properly secured and covered to prevent debris from falling onto roadways. Unsecured loads pose serious hazards to traffic and may result in accidents. Any unsecured load will be charged double.
Funds collected from the Slash Depot support its operation and future improvements. Thank you for helping keep our community safe and fire-resilient!
